I checked the web cam a while ago, and nobody was around, which I kind of figured. For the alternate cam view without sound, I got a message about entering a password for that cam view. Never saw that before.

Am seeing a juvie on the ledge in front of the nest box right now. Saw Red Girl up there yesterday afternoon.

The annual Wilmington Falcon Event was held last evening on the roof of the garage overlooking the nest. We saw all four fledglings sitting along ledges and rooftops waiting for dinner, plus an adult near the nest box supervising the kids. Unfortunately, we had to leave early before the falcons' dinner was served.

From the article in this morning's newspaper, we missed all the action to come.

What a great article...and such a perfect description of the juvie screech: "door swinging on rusty hinges".

Thanks for posting the link, Catbird!!!

Thanks for sharing that great article, Ethel. SO glad all the juvies are doing well down there. Would have loved to have driven down to Wilmington last night. Wish it was a tad closer.

From FB

Wilmington Falcons

Thanks to all who came to the FalconWatch Event last night! Once again the falcons didn't disappoint! What a show they put on for us!!!
In the first picture, Soren (blue) is carrying food that was just handed off to her from one of the adults! She flew directly over all of us! In the second picture, the boys, Dynamo and Zeus are having some fun chasing each other! And in the last picture Dynamo is carrying some prey!
I'm happy to say that all kids are doing very well! :)

Red Girl has been perched outside the nest box for quite some time. She's been snoozing off and on. Looks like it's very windy in Wilmington from the way the downy feathers on the ledge are blowing.

Just tried to take a look at the cam, but was unable to get a picture on the cam with sound. The other cam was working. Could barely see a falcon on the ledge preening. Couldn't tell if it was a juvie or an adult.

It took a bit to load but I think it was a juvie on the ledge. :egg8:

Just had a chance to look at your "perspective", Dave. That was such a joy to watch. Thanks so much for sharing it on here. And that IS a juvie on the picture you posted earlier, Carolyn. Thanks.

:loveheart2: Thanks for the wonderful video of the Wilmington chicks, capturing them from the first hatch to the first fledge . . . and finally to a shot of all 4 fledglings perched on a rooftop together. I enjoyed every second of it!

Spent a good deal of time in Wilmington with friends today. Happy to say we saw Red Girl, Trinity, and all four juvies! Red was around in the morning, but the other three spent quite a bit of time napping and preening at various spots on the Brandywine Building during the afternoon. The adults weren't around much, at least that we could see.
