Good Morning Loza! The wind here in Wilmington today is SO BAD! I pray the Falcon's and all other Birds lay low, and stay safe. |

loza - Nice catch of the changeover this morning! Faith - You're right about the wind. It's really brutal. I'm just glad that the falcons have a nest box sheltered from the wind. |

Mom is rather restless this afternoon. When I first looked in, she was busy picking pebbles. Then she shuggled the eggs and turned, and shuggled some more. I've been watching about 8 minutes, and she has made a 360 degree turn, now. |

Both falcons spent part of the day chasing intruders. They seem to switch off on determined interlopers. Two falcons taking turns can outlast a single intruder, and one stays free to sit on the eggs. I just got short glimpses of the action - most was blocked by buildings. Here's a short clip, regular speed and slo-motion. That's Trinity on the attack. Sorry about the quality - long way away hand-held. https://youtu.be/yf72cwv8Ozg |

Thanks for your report, Dave. I had hoped the intruder(s) would have given up by now. Good job on the video and also good job by Trinity. |

Correction to my last post. Turns out that I managed to film a crow attacking an eagle. It was far away and during the intruder chases, so I thought I had a falcon. Sorry 'bout that. I'll leave it there and re-title it "Crow attacks eagle, videographer eats crow" :-0 |

No problem Dave. Your reports are always appreciated. I did tune into the cam last night around 7 to see Red Girl calmly sitting on the eggs. I'd guess there's about a week to wait until there are a bunch of little mouths to feed. |

I just checked the Facebook page and it sounds as if the first hatch is fast approaching! Kim mentioned that she thought that "hatching would start April 8-11 so any day now we could be seeing some little white fuzz balls!!!" I also checked the nest box and Trinity (I believe) is on nest duty. |

Thanks for the pictures, Loza. Tuned into the cam about five minutes ago, and pretty sure it was Trinity on the eggs. |

Still waiting to see a hatch here. Trinity and Red Girl have been doing a great job keeping all the eggs covered and out of sight. |
