I get updates but I could not copy her picture . will try later

On January 12, Maggie had her annual exam appointment with Dr. Helen. Maggie’s blood work, physical exam, and radiographs were all within normal limits – Dr. Helen gave her a clean bill of health! Another component of the annual exam process for our education raptors is a coping session – this is when the vets trim back the beaks and talons of the raptors. In the wild, raptors are able to wear down their beaks naturally, given their huge variety of food and substrates. In captivity, this can be a little more challenging, and we usually have to schedule periodic coping sessions. Dr. Helen trimmed Maggie’s beak, and was also able to trim and flatten her talons, which is an important part of keeping Maggie’s feet healthy.

Now that she’s got a clean bill of health, Maggie is ready for her 2016 adventures! She’s already been out on one program this year with outreach coordinator Chapin, and Maggie will be ready to head to more events in the coming months.

VA must not have enough resources to take care of these things right now. We lost James River Bridge & Cobb, now there is concern that we won't even be able to watch Richmond! Wonder if the people who are tasked with making this happen are not interested, or maybe its financial. It would be a shame to miss this season here. :14val:

If it is financial I am willing to make a donation. I am not rich but I am always willing to do some small thing for nature.
is there any way someone can find out.

Geez, I have not heard from Sergio and just checked here. DGIF moved their offices this year and they have been in chaos ever since. I will send him a note.
With regard to JRB cam, there is a new cam there but no way to connect it. Libby left CCB in June and she has not been replaced and I've been begging to get Cobb fixed, which just needs a cam replacement. They are very short handed and nobody but Libby did cam stuff.

I just corresponded with Bryan Watts (CCB) on this issue. Both DGIF and CCB were transmitting signals to the web through a UVA server (some of you may still have those original links) and they have taken it down. Bryan had dinner with the contact at UVA and the server has been down for months and they were looking at new providers. The UVA project is pretty big and long term so I assume it will get addressed eventually.

I just found out about the cam, so I checked since the lights on the ledge at least used to be on a while at night. They weren't on, but there was a falcon in the box. I could see a reflection of the white bib. If there weren't any eggs before, there may be one now! :7val:

:15heartbeat: That falcon is still there standing on the right ... can see faint view of whole body now. Catwoman, when they did the roof it looks as though the lights are gone now. Wondering if the chicks will still over shoot when they jump onto the border.
