Good morning everyone!! I was treated this morning with a great sighting - yes, I saw it with my very own eyes. I had just gotten off the bus - I almost waited to take the next bus to downtown, but changed my mind and hurried to the 6:20 am bus. I had only walked less than a minute towards the statehouse when I heard the screaming - very close too. I was so hoping that I could find the bird - no, it was not a low sound so I knew it was not a downed falcon. I kept hearing it screaming when all of a sudden, not 100% sure but fairly sure, it took off from the 8 Building very low - I saw it flapping toward the Broad and High corner over the lower building north of the Huntington and out of sight and sounds too as it had stopped screaming. I was thrilled to actually see the juvie flying. so beautiful!! I stood at the corner and just searched for another sighting of the juvie, hoping even to hear her, nothing. People looked at me rather strangely, I am looking up with my binoculars - Hopefully she will find her way back to the ledge. I reluctantly boarded my bus for work wishing I could just sit downtown and watch for her knowing it won't be long before she is gone. Have a great day today everyone - it will be a beautiful day here in Columbus.

:sum9: :dancegirl:

AWESOME report, rosekk!! and certainly explains me thinking I heard a juvie screaming about that time, but dismissing it because it was so faint and "I must have imagined it" feeling!!

Hey SGB - I am so happy that I could have answered your questions about hearing screaming - I do the same thinking that maybe I heard something or maybe it was just wishful thinking on my part - like I was hearing things - ROFL. You were very correct - there was screaming. At times I thought I was hearing two screamers - one from the ledge and another answering it - it really did not sound like an echo - lol I wonder if we have two juvies left - the two young ones?

I have been very complacence about watching the Cleveland site because it is really quite hard to watch as it is not a streaming video like we have here in Columbus - I am quite spoiled actually - well, I discovered just recently that Boomer seems to be gone - OH MY - I am heartbroken -I am so fretful to ask this question - does anyone know what happened to Boomer? I realize that it has been too long since I watched the Cleveland site - I just assumed that Boomer was doing well then Perk told me he might be gone - sigh!! I don't know how to get a hold of Chris and Chad to find out what happened.

It hasn't been easy to keep up with Cleveland this year because the cam has been sporadic...its currently off line and has been for quite a while now. Their forum is off line as well...

Sadly, Boomer was found deceased back in the fall. I guess all presumed as a result of a territorial battle with the current male, Stacker.. :girlsad3:

\\I was really afraid that was the case, that there might have been a territorial fight with another male - my heart is breaking - Boomer was so awesome - that he hatched here in Columbus - I have a picture of him sitting on the statehouse - and then was not seen for two years until he showed up in Cleveland. it is awesome to watch wild life like we do, but very heartbreaking to hear news like this
