I think we have the original male (father to the eggs) and a new female. He is skittish when she lands on the platform, still tries to brood the eggs, she has no interest in them.

DEF...I think you are right...I've been trying to compare pics...and the females do look different. This current female seems to have more freckles on her chest..

She may do that once she is ready to lay her own, but not necessarily.

When Dori took over the Pittsburgh Gulf tower nest, (in 2010 I believe), there were already two eggs laid by Tasha.
The male Louie kept tending to his eggs while courting the new female. He managed to get her to lay an additional three eggs in the same scrape, all five were properly incubated and all five hatched!
