thank you Tiaga nice to see them together without kids, but not for long LOL

sept 9 u of A

evening of Sept 7 we were down there till after dark. Our injured male was eating on the netting. after seeing him yesterday morning on cam, he looked great and well fed. He flew well and landed well on WEd evening. He even flew around and up to top of radissons aerial. He dove down to the east .

But while down there we also had another juvenile. we at first thought one of ours but after watching my cam back , it is not. It is not banded but it is tall and thin, and not ours. It tried to get meal away from our young male . he mantled and screamed whole time. What a guy. this other one is quite timid. it went from box to rail where netting is and then over to north roof o CS and then back to box and then onto roof of box.
it then then dropped onto roof of CS . a bit later it flew to where our young male was and around CS and I did nto see it again. But I believe it was there last night. We will try and go down tonight.

We did see 3 tucked in at night. so I really do believe we only have our young male left around. I believe he will stay on till adults leave . But I think he will be fine. He was proficient before the injury, so he will be again and is almost there.

I am really behind with my photos from the ground but hopefully all will be caught up this weekend.

I am bringing this back over form other page in case you miss it. these are jeans that she took after kids moved over to university. they actually went to and fro

here is video i did of some of jeans photos. put on full screen for best effect.( to music)

we were down there last night and our young male was eating on netting. RAdisson was on her aerial. when youngster was done he just sat facing us on white railing.
He did quite well catwalking, which means leg is quite good. :ohyes:
radisson flew over to netting to get her share but he yelled and made a fuss. I could not see if she retirieve3d prey but she flew to southwest Cs on a pillar. Mr . Dibbs followed her.

So she flew back over to netting. Mr Dibbs flew to radissons aerial on CP . Chase flew in with a little talking and perched on pillar above box so we had our 3 falcons. AS we thought , our other kids have moved on.

RAdisson flew to southwest CS again and kid followed,
They flew out behind maz and over to suite hotel. Radisson managed to get away form Mr. Dibbs and she perched on roof of their turn in spot on Windsor apartments,

Chase watched all of this just glad it was not him being chased LOL :teehee:

Chase disappeared , I know not where, I believe towards Bridge area. after a bit our youngster flew off northwest and radisson was at peace :flirty:

our youngster turned up around 8pm and flew to radissons aerial again where I watched him preen . He looks great. His landings are good . he flies well. :5val:

Radisson decided to turn in for night on the north ledge of turn in spot. youngster decided that was a great idea and he turned in below her. He squawked the whole time with me saying shhhh. :offtobed:
then Chase flew in from the north east to land in his spot but squeaky kid had him fly over to top of CP

our youngster eventually flew to south side of turn in spot an chase turned in at his spot.
Peter and I drove around to just make sure and we had Chase and radisson on same ledge across from each other and our youngster on south side, 3 ledges down. :zzzzz

I decided we should check bridge to just make sure no one was there. It was getting dark but i know where they turned in, when they did . there was no one. this time of year always is quiet and sad.

we will check on Sunday and keep checking till they leave. RAdisson usually stays around till beginning of Oct.

pictures to come

Bell sept20

as of today we still have E4 and the new male at site.
they are not9 as bonded as other sites but then we had a mixed up year adn he never really got a chance to prove what he could do. But I do think he was contributing. the cams were not consistent enough for us to figure it all out, and now the insert is not working . but I am grateful when the cam is up and we can see who is there. some ask if it is the same male. well he had no bands so hard to know for sure, but I think so. I do not see signs of E4 being upset he is there.

here are a few shots of last few days

U of A sept20

we believe out last juvenile left Sept12. last time we saw him and he looked good. He could fly well, could carry prey, he could walk on injured leg. still a wee limp but he will be fine. If he still needed the adults he would have stuck around. So I know he will do well as will the other 2. they were well trained by boht radisson and Chase.
Circumstances had me away a lot but when I was around , I felt very good about this year and our youngsters.

my photos are almost complete.

Chase and RAdisson are both still here. they have been doing a lot of serious bonding. Chase left sept26 last year but we still had kids around around till end of Sept. So they left earlier this year. I think being a t 2 spots made them a bit more independent.
I may go to bridge tomorrow during day, I know no one is there at night but just in case.

Radisson is still here. she is a beauty. she keeps doing that dipsy doodle that I showed in last video . not sure what is up with that :think

I believe chase left on morning of Sept 24th
as he was seen on Sept 23 but on Sept 24 and Sept 25th only radisson was at box and at turn in spot.

will be posting a better report when radisson leaves

all Edmonton nests sept 28

radisson, Miss Green, and E4 are still here . checked them all out agian this evening. will continue to do so till they leave.

also we are going to check out the perch at U of a as Radisson has been acting strange when she is on perch. We will look from parkade with scope and if we cannot tell anything, we will ask Gord to go up and take a look after she has migrated.

there is nothing wrong with Radisson, it appears to be the perch.

this is at a grain elevator. It is not that far from where I live. the gyrfalcon has been going there for a lot of years. A man Peter and I know just watches them form his back yard. He sees things others do not.
