Xavier flashing by or in n out a LOT
November 3, 2016
Shepnotes
Shortly after 6.30 pm Xavier began appearing outside or at the window and disappearing very fast. Once he ran in n out - flash, dash. I am unsure why. These chicks look bigger than Mum now, and can hurt the parent. She doesnt want to be too close. They are fighting her and each other for the prey.

Sunrises and sets are so beautiful.

Nice age for banding, but alas the permits were not forthcoming.
Diet has been a steady stream of young starlings plus a couple of rosellas (one crimson, one eastern I think). Chicks seem to be healthy, well and cheeky.

At this age, they are rather in the ‘ugly duckling’ stage, but it won’t be long before they turn into sleek and beautiful juveniles. And finally, I have been very impressed with the wing-flapping ability – and how they scoot around box without hitting each other, like dodgem cars.

Thanks April, loza, Arjen!

Hi :downleaf: I can no longer get the FalconCam Project site page to load, I get an error message that says 403 Forbidden. Is there another link that works? Thank you, and thank you all for your great coverage :leafwave:
