As I recall from previous years, the City schedules activation and deactivation of the cams by date, not activity. :gaaaaah: As much as I hate to think it, the cam may be a budget decision.

Don't think so, gigi as here is my post from July 8th 2021:

:15heartbeat: The season is over for us. Message at cam is "The falcons will return next nesting season." Job well done Maltese and Peace, see you next season I hope!! Good luck to the juvies here!!

They cut them off a month earlier this year than last year.

I will see what I can find out.

EDIT: Email sent to DNR contacts and Brad from the Indiana Audubon Society.

:taz: That burns me up, but I was expecting it after it was publicized no chicks this season! Deep down I think I was checking constantly in hopes of seeing Maltese stop by. Curious about that guy saying he was possibly going to band her if he can catch her and how it was time to name her. Not sure if I'm going to continue to follow next season.

Thanks gigi, I thought the reason might be this that I posted about yesterday.

Thanks for Checking, gigi...

If it is a budget issue, I certainly can understand and respect that...inflation these days is no joke..and I have no idea how much it costs to keep a cam going..especially on YouTube (if anything)...especially if there are no chicks.

I don't think they consider what the birds may or may not do.

I am baffled as to how a few cams are still running this season...especially since there has been absolutely no falcon activity at those sites...

Still no news on the cam since it seems that no one seems to know who to contact. Years ago I had a name, but...

Update on cams: No update. Brad called the phone number listed but it was a general 311 number. He emailed Denise and will advise when and if he hears anything. I will then advise here.

I find it frustrating to not reach a human when calling for help or customer support or anything! :gaaaaah:

I had to chuckle at the sort of camera update Brad received. I copied and pasted this and made no spelling corrections!

“ I wanted to let you know that I have submitted your request for the contact information for the Paragon Falcon cameras and have notified IT of the cameras not working. The IT team has created a ticket and indicated someone should be in touch with you in regards to your request.

Should you have any additional questions in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to contact me.”
