Falcon Naming Contest starts NOW
Vote through Friday, June 9 @ Noon, Indy time [Eastern Daylight Savings Time]
If you want to help name the falcons, here are the rules:

1. No commercial or brand names and no celebrity names (e.g., pop culture figures, stars, athletes, or politicians) will be considered.

2. Submissions will be accepted from 8 a.m. June 5 until noon June 9 (all times EDT).

3. Please submit a short explanation (1-3 sentences) why the name was submitted.

4. If the name you submit is chosen, you will be notified over the weekend of June 10-11 via the email you sent. The names will be announced at the banding on June 12.

5. The names and the person submitting it will be published on the IndyStar Falcon Blog.

A birthday nod to Will. :flirty:

A lone chick, Will hatched atop the Kent County Michigan Courthouse on June 6, 2011.

He arrived in Indy in the fall of 2012.

Will proved to be a shy boy and was often seen just outside looking in.

Will and KathyQ hatched 4 chicks over the short two years he was with us.

Will was replaced late summer 2014 by Sesenta [KathyQ and Kinney's boy].

I would like to think he moved on to become the mate of another female somewhere out there...

I really liked Will. I also would like to think of him nesting somewhere else. I truly think some males , just are not fighters and so will leave when they find it getting too tough to hold onto territory. that is why I always sway survival of fittest is not always best. Our super dad , years ago in Edmonton was a great partner, gret provider and great dad , but he was to a fighter.
