Bird Cams Around the World

My mistake. It was Niecey feeding them. After they were done and she moved I saw the bands. The red I saw was the bird not a band. Any how they are growing like weeds.

I've had the cam on since around 7:30 this morning. Haven't been watching constantly since then, but there has been very little activity on the ledge. Both adults have been there at various places. Three chicks piled together in the corner of the scrape keeping each other warm. Am going to be away until around 3:00 this afternoon. Hopefully somebody will post if they've seen a feeding.

About half an hour ago, Niecey brought a small bird to the scrape. It was a female House Finch. Red, I think, grabbed it from her, and then the other two surrounded Red and Niecey couldn't get the bird back. So the three fought over it. Then Little Dad came to the scrape with ANOTHER small bird which he fed to Blue and White. Red was still trying to get some food off of the House Finch, without much luck. Niecey came back to the scrape a second time and this time allowed the chicks to be fed. Red is starting to develop feathers on his back.

A little after 7:00 Little Dad brought a small bird to the ledge. Niecey took it and flew over to the ledge of the U Building where I could tell she was eating some of it. She then returned to the scrape, but only one of the chicks was hungry. The other two slept through the entire feeding which didn't last very long.

7:28 breakfast has arrived.

Must have been a small bird cause they are done. Niecey on the stick and kids hollering at her.

Now she's on the box and White is flapping her wings and doing a feather dance.

Got home a bit ago after being out most of the day. Found White, I think, outside the scrape as shown in the picture posted by ljames. White got back in the scrape a while ago. Thanks for the pictures and posts today. Looks like one of the meals today was a male Cardinal. And while entering this message, Niecey arrived with some food. Not a long feeding. Red hopped out of the scrape briefly, but now back in.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL THE MOTHERS HERE.

Tuned in a bit ago to find two chicks playing in the water puddle out in front of the scrape. Little Dad flew in with some small prey and fed those two while Niecey watched from the shield. The third chick did not come out to be fed, but later went out the back door. Two are now back in the scrape and the third is hiding behind the shield. I think it's Red that is really getting feathered out.

If you can't see the tape on the kids an easy way to tell is Red is the one with the yellow feet and Blue and White have the white feet.

Was out birding at a park in uptown Harrisburg this morning. Made a little detour on the way home to stop downtown to give a personal Happy Mother's Day greeting to Niecey. Found her up on the wire to the cam. She was there when I got home, but has since left. Little Dad on the stick, and three zonked chicks in the scrape.

Chicks are all over the ledge right now. One behind the orange post, one in the scrape, and one near the point. Niecey on the shield. Don't know if there has been a feeding yet this morning. If so, I've not seen it and haven't seen any posts about that.
