I was watching as the sun came up this morning. I knew someone was gonna get brave enough to take that leap! I was downtown late morning/ early afternoon, but didn't see or hear anything. It is very hot in Columbus today. In my experience not much happens during the heat of the day. I will keep monitoring cams. I plan to run back downtown this evening for falcon dinner time. Hopefully the parents will show me where our brave lil fledgling is hangin out.

I just watched the video again...that was a really good take-off! :hapdance:

I can't wait for your evening report...makes me nuts when they leave and don't tell us where they are going....they need bands AND a GPS tracker on them. LOL

Thought I was going to see a 3rd fledge from the far ledge, but a parent came in to feed ...

I really can't confirm...there was one really flapping at the end of the ledge and it could have gone while I was resetting my recorder...

Feed currently going on..I'm only seeing 2, but Durand could be blocking #3..

I was not here for Sally's fledge of #2, but I have only seen 2 since I have been here ...
It looked as if it were going to fledge and 1 was on the roof ... I looked away and Durand was there feeding the 2 ...

Unfortunately, I don't have a recording from around 4:30. I had one prior to that and could confirm 3 still on the ledge..so, sorry guys..I missed it..and I've been recording all freaking day long and getting nothing else done... :furious:

I sure hope others will be willing to step up for the next 3 days...because I will be of no help watching the cam for most of those days..

Will be here late afternoons and evenings next 3 days @ intervals, but can only witness!
Have to get back to work, #3 may wait now if it gets it's belly full ... :teehee:

Yikes! Another fledge? Well, not surprised. These kids made it to the upper ledge ahead of time and they really look ready to fly. I see 2 on the roof. One of them was just in the box and is fully feathered. Very sleek looking. I have only been watching this nest since Spark's arrival, but I have to agree with what someone mentioned earlier, I have never seen the kids up on the roof so often and with such ease. These chicks have a lot of strength. I think they will be strong flyers.

5:47 pm - If you can see through the fog, this is one of the remaining chicks. Very sleek, fully feathered, and no fluff on the legs.

I can't wait to hear Perk's report from the ground. She has two juvies on the wing.

I'm in an out all day tomorrow and I don't have a recorder. Are there archives that Donna can view for today to see the 2nd fledge? The 2 kids on the roof are pretty quiet, other than some preening. Both are standing upright and facing out toward the sky. Maybe they hear the parents and their siblings.

One just laid down on the roof and is hidden behind a poop stain on the cam lens. I am uncertain, but there may actually be 2 standing perched side by side on the front of the roof edge facing out?

Nope...never mind....it's one bird. It just did a stretch and turned around. Soooooo...2 on the roof.
