Yup, I see that too! One of the kids is on the edge of the upper ledge near the nest cam looking straight down or to the right with lots of head bobbing. I betcha it's watching some activity from the fledglings. I believe there's a lower rooftop in that direction. I forget what the building is called. One of the kids ended up there last year. This particular juvie looks like it wants to join whoever is down below.

7:56 pm - One juvie on the box roof and one flapping away on the ledge.

Aries just dropped off some dinner on the upper ledge and left. The head bobber has it. Hmmm...not too interested in eating at the moment.

Someone flew up to the adjacent ledge and a parent flew onto the upper ledge by the ledge cam. Now they are gone. As I was saving the picture, I missed the departure by the parent. Wait...someone is still on the adjacent ledge...there is a tail sticking out.

8:23 pm - Parent closest to the cam. One juvie on the roof, one juvie on the ledge, and tail sticking out on the adjacent ledge.

A parent was on the near end, one juvie on ledge and 1 on roof. Don't know if 1 next store was an adult or not!

There is still someone on the adjacent ledge. The parent touched down after the one did on the adjacent ledge....as if following after it. I wonder if that's a juvie over there. That would be great if a new fledgling could make it back up 41 stories. A parent may have provided an escort back up.

8:30 pm - After all the excitement, the two remaining juvies had some fun in the box.

The parents don't normally park over there. Hopefully, it didn't fledge to the ground! And if it did, wouldn't make it back all those stories.

Still seeing tail movement on the adjacent ledge.

8:44 pm - I don't know what happened to all the fluff and pantaloons of this morning, but I am not seeing it now on these two remaining juvies. Just a small tuft of fluff on top of the head.

That's true Swinwk. One of the kids kept looking down and to the right of the ledge, so maybe a juvie was on the building roof next door and made it back up to the adjacent ledge. Aries liked perching there when he first arrived, but I suspect it's a juvie over there.

If one of them had to be rescued they would have placed him/her on an adjacent ledge so as not to startle the remaining chicks.

Since skygirlblue mentioned press coverage, I did a quick check of the local TV stations' websites but didn't find anything. Not that that means anything... :egg13:

Someone flew up to the adjacent ledge and was then followed, as if by escort, by a parent to the nest ledge. Parents often escort their youngsters in flight when they 1st start flying. I'm trying to process pics, but photobucket is not cooperating.

Dawn is 0530, but any one wanting to see a fledge might want to get up a little before 0500 EDST!
