What a busy weekend, I can't believe that I missed both fledges! 2 falcons still on the ledge. With this heat today I am not sure how much of a mood to fledge they will be in.

This is my first season away from Columbus, it will be difficult not being able to run downtown to spot the fledglings!

The dispatch building is directly to the right of the Rhodes tower when facing the entrance. I believe the parking is just to the right of that building (or at least there is a lot adjacent to the Dispatch). The Falcon on the car would likely be about 2 doors to the right of the Rhodes building.

Thanks Anowlwithknees for that info. Just checked in to see if I could catch an early evening fledge. Hope they hold off though. Both are on the ledge, midway, eating some leftover prey maybe. Couldn't get the cam in IE, but thought to switch to Chrome, and it's working for me. Let me quit typing so that I don't miss something.

I went downtown this morning - I arrived at 11:15 am; Perk was hot so she went home to cool off and planned to go down this evening when it was cooler; I sat on the statehouse steps for about 45 minutes and then I took a walk around the state house, over to the Trinity church, in the alley, looking on the banks and Rhodes tower, walked down thrid streeet and in the alley behind the Rhgodes tower, over to the Huntington Bank and looked onn the bank sign, walked around the state house again - I saw no one and I didn't even hear anyone -
very disappointing - I left at 1:00 - Perk and I are meeting tomorrow after work - I will be downtown early and will sit and listen and watch for about 30 minutes then off to work. I am sorry that I could not report any findings.

Food delivery was just made, to keep them on the ledge tonight hopefully.

Thank you for your report rosekk17 . It's not easy to see or hear falcons in a busy city. It is comforting for those us watching the cams to know that somebody is on the lookout for them.

This is what I THINK I know! :teehee:

Juvie who flew to next ledge last pm probably is who I saw do it again tonight. For quite some time I have been able to see 1 juvie who was on ledge, went into the nest, then to the back end of cam to perch. Blobs on cam view of ledge are becoming more opaque and I do not know if another juvie is on cam perched near nest end or on roof or fledged before I got here! I have only witnessed 1 juvie @ this nest site since earlier this eve.

Still nothing more. Hoping that Perkdiggity was able to go down this eve and we can find out something. Will be dark soon.

2 juvies in the nest! Bet the other one was in there the whole time and I couldn't see it because the one I was following would have been standing right in front of it and blocking my view and then I followed it out! :teehee:

Rosekk..thank you soooooooooooo much for going downtown and looking for the kids...I cannot imagine how hard it must be to try and locate them...You guys are just the best..

Here are the 2 kids in the box..They both were lying down when Aries (I think) flies up with a bedtime snack..

I'm guessing both kids went out to eat...while they were eating, Durand (?) landed..

Aries eventually left and somebody (maybe durand) moved to the top of the box. Box was too dark for me to see if anybody went back in..

Sorry Swinwk..my recorder didn't pick up anybody landing on the next ledge, but I have it recording at a low setting so it may not have picked it up. :girlsad3:

It looks like #3 fledged at 5:55 am. Unfortunately, #4 was blocking the cam so I only got a glimpse of it going off!!

I spoke with rosekk a little before 7 am. She spotted one on the 8 building as she was waiting for her bus. I believe the 8 building is next to the Rhodes...gotta go find my area pics..

Here's the fledge...or what you can see of it. Watch the space in between #4's legs. You can barely see #3 flapping and then a blur takes off in a downward trajectory...
