I met Rose downtown around 6:15 this evening. Rose had to leave around 7. Rose got a pic of an adult on the Rhodes Tower ledge but nothing else happening.
I decided to stick around the statehouse lawn where I can see Rhodes, Riffe, Huntington, ans Leveque. Around 7:10 I noticed a little "bump" on the north east corner of the Huntington Tower. I grabbed my binoculars and was delighted to see not one but two fledglings! They were just hanging out watching the sky. It was kind of them to stay where I could observe them

I watched them for about 15 minutes when all of the sudden they started squawking and flapping. An adult came in from the east and landed next to them. I believe it was a food drop. The adult quickly departed and the hysterics ended.
The adult did a lap over the Riffe, Huntington, & US Bank buildings and then landed on the Leveque antennae. After a few minutes the adult returned to the pair on the Huntington but again took off fairly quickly. No hysterics this time. The adult circled Leveque a few times before landing on a light fixture near the top. The pair on the Huntington were doing a little wing flapping and running along the edge of the north side of the roof. I believe they have decided to cool their heels and let Mom & Dad continue to care for them for the time being!
It was hard to tear myself away but I had to head home after about 15 minutes of everybody staying put. I didn't hear any calls aside from the Huntington pair so the location of the other two fledgings remains a mystery. I walked round the site of the crane & car photos but no luck. Tomorrow is another fledgling hunting day...
