Loza - Thankyou for checking on Dixie and Yankee each day! I love it when Yankee goes out on the stick and wind surfs like he did on Jan. 22

New board on the front with the lip up higher.
The cams/scope are also tighter.

Just posted on Peregrine Place FB page:

The DEC rebuilt the box this week by pushing the back wall toward the front and eliminating the Flight Deck. Another flight deck cannot be added now. That would change the profile of the structure and because of the historical status of MacKay Tower, it cannot be done.

The rebuild was felt to be necessary just in case heat had something to do with the failed nests last year. None of us want to see a repeat of that! This will enable the DEC banders to access the box from the back instead of the corner as before.

Not knowing the alcoved structure its sitting in, I'm trying to figure out how pushing the back wall toward the front will help if it was a heat issue. Hope so!!
