weber september3we have been away but we did not see kids since we have been back . BArb saw them on august 14 . We got home on the august 14 and we have missed them ,but I think they moved on . they would not have migrated yet, but we have many marsh areas around that our young in the past have liked to frequent before heading off.
even though they drove us insane with their antics, they were strong and were stooping pigeons early on. They were stooping them while we were still on watch.
B72 was only two years old but he did a good job of raising DO1's kids. I miss DO1 but know in my heart , he is O.K. He would be proud of his kids.
Steve, out at Pembina , said our 2 from Weber did very well out there. He was trying see when he last saw both of them but he knows he had both still around on August 5 which is great.
He tries to get the bands of them when they come in to eat, or he has a powerful scope that he can get them on the fly.
We continue to see our adults. they seem to be very clsoe, as green girl and DO1 were. this is nice , for us to see.
our young lad and Green girl have the same parents. Green girl being born in 2013 , and B72(he also had green tape) was born in 2015.
Today we visited them again and they were perched together.
Here are some pciutres from the cam before it went down. it went off air on August 25th. we try our best to keep track from the ground.
