I read somewhere, probably FB that the great horned owl has nested not that far away from the box and they have little ones now.

Yesterday I saw the male scraping in the old box and today there is someone sitting in it. Looks like they may choose this box.

Rebecca leaves the nest to chase the intruding Peregrine. Kewpee comes in to take over incubation during the skirmish.

News on 4/20 from Copper Country Audubon:

"I'm going out on a girder here and saying that Carsten* has laid and egg in the ST box. Hardly any evenings has she stayed on the towers or in or at the box past 6PM and she (or he) is laying in the ST box at 7:15PM.

Copper Country Audubon apologizes for the poor view from the South Tower cam. We were unable to place it outside the bridge structure and its looking through a window. We'll try to get it zoomed in some more if eggs are starting to be laid.

The Great Horned Owls that nested in the structure of the ST this year seem to have fledged all their young, probably two, maybe three. One of those fledged owls was found on the bridge walkway yesterday and ended up in the Portage, then was rescued by bridge personnel and taken to rehab. It seems fine and will be released near the bridge in a day or so. So the owls are still around and will have to be feeding their young so there is still plenty of night-time danger for the Peregrines."

Youngman

Note: As of 4/21, there are two eggs.
