Red can be seen from the point cam right now. She is facing the side street and crying at intervals.

Thanks for the pictures, Loza. I think that was Blue with Red earlier. He left a while ago. Red made her way over to the column a few minutes ago, relieved herself, and flew to somewhere over toward the U Building. It looked like a second falcon flew from elsewhere shortly after Red flew. Wonder if that one was on the Carson roof? It is very dark and dreary here and threatening rain.

Then she returned to the ledge with a piece of prey and it began to pour. She went to the fat part of the stick, the front border of the nest, went back out to the stick to pick up her prey. Went to the back shield, then flew. Don't know if she still had the prey. This happened right after Jane's post.

Two juvies on the ledge right now. Pretty sure it's Red pancaked near the stick, and one of the boys on the shield. A group of us volunteers are meeting for a potluck at the Carson Building this evening, and hopefully can get in some falcon watching if the weather cooperates. There's a photo of some of us on the main web page. I'm in the back on the right.

:spring1: Enjoy the potluck, Jane and I hope you all get to see all of the family this eve!! Right now, nobody is home, but Red stayed about 30-40 minutes after Jane's post and the male awhile longer. You could tell it was Red for sure when she stood as she is huge!

Lil Dad in the nest and Niecey at the column! He's been out twice to look at her, bow and talk and she is also talking. He's gone back into the nest twice to dig out a bowl in the front end of it and then he went to the front shield. Niecey gone at 6:21. At 6:23, you could hear a juvie's cries coming in and lil Dad left as it landed on the ledge mantling! It remains on the edge of the ledge looking straight upwards at someone who is obviously above, although not seen on cam. Then preens. At 6:41 after hearing other juvie cries, it responds with cries and is looking downward. It obviously sees someone or some that I can not see on cam. Although I can not clearly see, I believe the tape is Red's. There is obviously a juvie nearby as it cries 1st, then Red responds with cries. She spent a lot of time on the ledge before moving to the stick, if this is indeed Red. And it sounds as if all of the juvies are on the Carson somewhere from the volume of the cries as I leave at 7:41!! :teehee: Hope someone at least spends the night with us!

It was nice to get together with some of the volunteers and DEP staff tonight. After dinner and an enjoyable slide show we went outside for some falcon watching. Red was on the ledge most of the time, and one of the boys up on the cubby above the ledge. There was some flying with juvies landing at various places. Red is spending the night on the mini ledge on the 11th floor of the Carson Building. Two of the boys had returned to the top of the column when I was about to leave, and just as I was putting my chair in its bag, the third boy came flying in from somewhere to join his brothers for the night.

Tuned in to find 3 of the kids home. So nice to see. Checking in often for updates. Been following Hanover eagles. One got knocked out of the nest by accident and now waiting for other one to fledge. He is about a week behind his sister. Big baby, just like our Red girl. LOL

From the size I'm guessing it's Red sitting on the ledge over toward the column. She's been there for quite some time, calling a good bit. Rain has now quit and the breeze has arrived, getting rid of the horrible humidity.

I think it was Yellow that just flew from the point as I did not see an antenna. Had been running and playing with another juvie who remains on the ledge, possibly White.

Three juvies on the ledge right now, but I've not been able to make any IDs. And I refrain from posting non falcon things on here, but the wayward Hanover eaglet has been located and has been seen flying with the adults.

Another juvie arrived and we have 3 juvies eating at various locations on the ledge right now. One juvie is eating from a remnant left and at least one from fresh, but I don't know where the 3rd one's came from.

We are up to 3 juvies again as Red just flew in screaming with a part of a bird that you can still see the head and bill of. She is de-feathering and eating while her brothers watch from afar.

Two juvies now. One on the ledge between the column and stick and 1 standing beside the orange pole.

2 kids on the ledge with Niecey--hollering at her. Don't see the other kid but I hear him. Now I see him/her. They went and knocked Niecey off the ledge. And now they're helping Red eat the prey up by the nestbox. :hapdance:
