Niecey is on the stick preening. From the main cam link, I can get all 4 cams after a delay. From the other one, only the stick cam appears automatically. It shows a black box when you select "other views" that takes you somewhere, I've never seen with cut tree limbs strewn about the ground.

I saw Niecey on the stick briefly while making dinner, but I think she has relocated to the U roof. Looks like a falcon feather lying in front of the bad window.

And right back! I changed to the stick cam at 8:09 and see Niecey has shown up to the front shield! Lil Dad flew at 8:41 and Niecey had already flown at some point.

Took advantage of the beautiful evening here to spin downtown for some falcon watching. Niecey was on the stick when I got down there around 7, and Little Dad was AWOL. Was on the Chestnut Street Garage roof for most of the time, sitting on a concrete spot sort of in the center of the roof. Saw Niecey take off from the stick like she was on a mission, and no 30 seconds later she returned with what may have been a Mourning Dove. I couldn't see where she went with the thing, so I went down to the street, and found her over on her favorite spot on the U Building defeathering her meal. While I was watching her Little Dad arrived on the point, but I missed seeing him fly in. Eventually Niecey flew off right past Little Dad, but he stayed put. It was starting to get dark and I had to leave. Was surprised to see Little Dad was still on the point when I got home, and he flew off around 8:40 or so.

What a shocker, I found one of the adults standing in the shade of the orange pole and building! I usually check all the cams for them, but not seeing much from the ledge cam nowadays. They are gone now, but it must have been Niecey as she is wallowing on the ledge in the sun in front of the nest. Of course while I was typing, I heard her and went back in and she is gone ...

Lil Dad is on the point, but I do not see Niecey. I'm a little late checking in. He flew at 8:37!

Little Dad just left the point. Wonder what's with those big wing stretches before he leaves?

:hmmmm I don't know, Jane. But, the 1st time I saw this was the eve of the 7th with Niecey holding her wings out and holding the position in different directions several times before her departure and darn if Lil Dad didn't do the same thing before he left. I posted about it at the time. I had never seen this behavior before and decided maybe it had something to do with the weather/breeze as something prompted both to do it ... you know how you try to reason these things. I saw him leave, but did not see him hold out his wings prior as I was cooking supper. This now makes the 3rd time that Lil Dad has done this prior to leaving in the evenings over the last half week or so. I wish I knew what the real reason is.

I've seen Niecey holding her wings out when it's real hot, but not fully extended. Juvies seem to do this frequently, and I call it the airplane position. I have no clue why Little Dad has been doing this before he leaves at night.

Tuned in a bit ago to find Little Dad on the stick. He flew down Market Street and now Niecey is there.

Light rain started here about 15 minutes ago. Little Dad is keeping dry on the shield way up against the building. Not sure where Niecey is.
