ERly morning in California. Looks like Dapper Dan is snoozing on the left side of the ledge.

egg number one . reported jsut before 11 am today , feb8 could have been sooner. cam just moved to scrape
will try and get shot



so could have been here for a bit , bu t now we see it. Jim reported earliest since 2009. they have been here for quite awhile courting and bringing in prey . I am just not ready for falcon season yet

was incubating and now sitting over egg or over an hour and a half

is sitting on ledge facing in . It has rained for quit e some bit now.

so first egg must have been laid Thursday. no one was at cam on Thursday so it was not pointed at box, so they first saw it yesterday morning when I reported it and we were waiting to see when second egg laid

I was busy recording eagles chasing ravens at Arizona and then this. not good at multi tasking or I would have been taping it but kept switching

so falcon left eggs after 5pm and it is 10:25pm and no sign of her

I have not seen another falcon. puzzled. as before Thursday, there were reports of prey deliveries etc. I have not seen anything. granted sometimes cam shuts off when I am not around to reset. Fingers crossed.

cam shut off but at 12:30pm someone on eggs . would like to see two here . sun i s finally out.

will post a few shots later but was out and put cam back up and someone came to ledge . some chatter on ledge and I think I heard another. . the one on ledge going to box. I think I hear the other as this one comes onto eggs.
did not see this falcons mouth going. just confused at the moment, bu t eggs covered.

falcon came back qt 5pm ( chupping)
at 5:13pm - falcon goes to box

5:18pm - more falcon chupping and one on right seemed ornery. on e in box certainly sat up and took notice. It appeared to fly out

Thanks for doing that Bev. Would you say the male has a very white chest, and the female has a lot of wavy barring on her tummy? She sure seems dedicated to her eggs! No bands- have you heard if the locals have a name for her?
