I really hate this part of watching cams...still no sign of mom...apparently one little one died yesterday...and yes, like Wizzz said, they are waiting on rescue...

Oh know I really hope the kids had nothing to do with this disaster, and they can get there soon enough to help the little one

No mention of the kids having anything to do with what's going on now....I'm on chat now...and we're just hoping for a rescue...

Just a brief update...Mom still hasn't returned...and the wildlife people are taking a wait and see attitude...so no rescue Planned as of now...By the way...mom has not been spotted in the area...of course, we all know how well they can hide...but, with this owlet so young, I don't know why she would be out of the nest anyway...

I'm not happy...

So sad ... I had to stop watching :egg10:
Hope they can do something .... if it was me I would have been up there as soon as it became obvious that the chick has not been fed for a very long time....

Still no mom....they sent housekeeping to look out the window around 9 pm their time...and no parent on the nest...I'm afraid this is gonna have a bad ending...I sure hope I'm wrong...

When they spoke with the Wildlife people, they said..this is normal for mom not to be on the nest...and I totally disagree...this little thing is only 2 weeks old... :sosad2

I am so happy to see the little one looking so good in the last picture. And one of the parents is around - that's good too.

My thank you for all messages about Ophelia Nest. I've rarely had the camera image open in recent times ... this is the only thing I got.

Image Taken, 31.03.11.

I'm so happy to hear that a parent has been at the nest to feed the chick. :loveshow:

Just to let you know that the owl cam in Alberta is just a 1.5 hour drive from me.

We have had so much snow and the nest is clear again but we are expecting more snow. I hope Lacombe does not get it.
