Pat, its most likely LO, because that's where he has been most of the afternoon. And yes, it is getting hard to tell the 3 of them apart! :suncon:

Just checked in and he is there. Was at the point with wings out, now standing at the camera divide point looking down.

Reenie just called with an update. LO hasn't been off the ledge all day. NG brought some food & fed him at about 3:50. She first went to the U & defeathered it, so it must have been her I saw earlier. Right now LO is on the ledge, Lil Dad is on his cam, & NG is on the balcony railing above the nest ledge.

Thanks Nancy. I hope that he stays put today, but I guess if I was there, I might want to see him fly, I don't know.

LO just went around the column for now in case anybody looks for him, just happen to check the cam and saw him. Well somebody just flew from over there. Maybe LO. Then I saw somebody land at U bldg.

I bet it's LO because they are flapping over there and the adults don't just sit there and flap.

Reenie just called & said he took off & looped over the train station & she was yelling, "go the other way", "go the other way", & he turned around & flew to the roof of the University. :sunsmile:

He was on the point of the U & walked away from there a couple of times but was flapping & I could see him flapping on the cam! :loveshow:

She's going to call back when he flies again. I'll let Reenie tell you the story of the little boy who came out of the building with his mother just in time to see LO fly! :sunsmile:

LO is back on the ledge! Reenie said he flew straight from the University roof to the ledge. He is an incredibly good flyer! :loveshow:

While I was talking to Reenie, a man walked past her & was trying to educate her about falcons! :lol2:

JUST GOT HOME A FEW MINS AGO. LIL ONE WAS SACKED OUT BY THE COLUMN FOR THE NIGHT AND LIL DAD ON THE STEEPLE AND NG ON THE CORNER OF 333 MARKET. LIL ONE TOOK NO OTHER FLIGHTS. DID GET TO SEE MY FIRST CEDAR WAXWING TODAY AND WHEN THE FLOCK TOOK OFF LIL DAD WENT AFTER THEM. CAME BACK EMPTY TALONED. ALSO ON THE WAY HOME A COMMON NIGHTHAWK FLEW IN FRONT OF ME! STOPPED IN AT TURKEY HILL AND WHEN I CAME OUT, HE WAS FLYING OVERHEAD MAKING THE NOISE THEY MAKE, SO COOL!

I've never seen a cedar waxwing, but I sure would like to! Lucky you! :clapegg:

A FRIEND WHO WORKS IN THE BLDG WAS THERE TO PICK UP A FRIEND AT THE TRAIN STATION. SHE HAD HER TWO LIL BOYS THERE. ON THEIR WAY BACK I CALLED THEM OVER AND THEY GOT TO SEE LIL ONE TAKE THAT FLIGHT TONITE. THE ONE LIL BOY SAID HE DECIDED HE WANTS TO HELP FALCONS. HE WAS SO CUTE! SO MANY PEOPLE STOP BY ASKING WHAT WE ARE DOING, BUT I'M SURPRISED AT THE ONES WHO ACTUALLY KNOW WHAT WE ARE DOING AND THEN WE TELL THEM ABOUT THE CAM AND FORUM TOO :-)

I THINK NEXT YEAR WE WILL HAVE TO HAVE SOME BUSINESS CARDS MADE UP WITH THE CAM AND FORUM LINKS :-)

I just got home from Wilkes-Barre - so sorry I missed LO's flight today - but I'll be there all day tomorrow, so hopefully will get to see some more showing off then. Reenie, Jane, Toni and whoever else made it downtown for watch today, thanks for your efforts. Even when they don't need rescue, it's such a relief to know people are keeping an eye on the little ones!

Wanted to read all the posts before replying. Got downtown a little after 7 this morning. Up until noon about the most exciting thing I saw was NG stretching her wings up on the camera perch! Most of the time LO was out of sight, sacked out on the ledge. Not much activity at all until Lil Dad brought in some food for LO and actually got to feed LO without NG horning in. It was a little before 7 when LO took off and flew over to the roof of the U Building. He almost didn't make it, as he was flying into the wind. He stayed over there 10 or 15 minutes before flying back to the nest ledge, and those of us on the ground clapped and cheered. Shortly before 8 a flock of Cedar Waxwings landed in a tree near the bus shelter on Market Street. They didn't stay long, flew over beyond the train station, and Lil Dad took off after the flock. For once I was relieved not to see him return with one of my favorite birds. Lil Dad landed over on the steeple then. He doesn't sit there very often. Will be right back down there at 7 tomorrow morning. Need some Zzzzzzzs! And glad to see you're back home, Sue!

Just checking in, and glad all is well. Have to get to bed. Had a GOOD day, and nice ride down and home. No traffic! Showed the family some pictures of all our Falcon's this year.

WOO HOO way to go LO! I moved on Friday so computer was packed up and phone line moved so haven't been on since Thursday morning. Knew I'd miss his first flight but WOW is he doing well! WTG LO! :loveshow:
