And he's gone or out of sight before I could get a positive ID. I'll keep trying, maybe later? Actually, Roosevelt used to sit here before.

I saved a couple of similar pics, catwoman; they are not very clear, so it's hard to tell. I'd like to think this is Roosevelt, but I think it is probably Freedom.

A little later, Freedom was in the nest box; she is still there at the moment.

Yeah, most of the time he was there, he was turned away from the cam, so it really is hard to tell. That spot on the cam lens didn't help either.

Somebody is back in that spot again, but again, facing away from the cam. Now I'm not saying that Freedom can't perch there, but I don't remember seeing her there before, but we got a number of good pics of Roosevelt near the cam.

Hey Nancy. I went through my files to see if I had a good pic of Roosevelt from that side. I didn't but I think that it might be Freedom. But the last one you posted of the back, reminds me of him. Freedom is really long in the neck and shoulders.

I did find this and thought I'd post it. Froona posted this pic of Roosevelt in 2008

Thanks for find this pic of Roosevelt, Mick. I was under the same impression as far as just the stance that was showing in the last pic. Of course, I want it to be Roosevelt, so I was trying not to make too much of it. I guess we'll find out sooner or later!

You got some similar pics to what I got the other night, SGB. It doesn't really look like Freedom, but I can't tell whether its Roosevelt, either. What I do find encouraging is that I don't remember Freedom perching this far down--she was normally perched closer to the nestbox. (But, of course, she could have changed her habits.)

Well, now I'm seeing your post that is definitely Freedom.
:suncrazy:

Something else that keeps niggling at my brain is: could Roosevelt have white over his beak now? Maybe some of the pictures we've assumed were Freedom were actually Roosevelt. This sounds far-fetched, but remember Lil Dad all of a sudden developed white over his beak!

I don't think it's Roosevelt, only because he has very noticeable gray cheeks.

I haven't given up yet, but I'm really starting to think we've lost Roosevelt...

Boy, that would be so sad. I've been hoping someone would catch him, but it seems like a really long time now.

I keep coming to reply and then cancel; don't know what to say?

Just keep watching and hoping.
