Thanks for all the nice videos. The one with the night alarm calling was strange. I am sneaking in a few minutes when I can but no time to post as I have had company since the weekend, but they sure are growing fast now.
:flirty:

I think one girl for sure and maybe the rest boys, I don't know. What do you all think?

The kids are being fed their dinner now. They are being soooo quiet, but all the crops I can see are full, so they're not terribly hungry.

They all just had a snack.

I have checked on them numerous times today and their little mouths are always open indicating they are hot. Right now I have no volume but earlier I did not hear them crying like they did before so much.

Just to remind everyone, the banding of the chicks is to take place tomorrow (Friday) afternoon, and they say that they will show it live.

Does anyone know about what time tomorrow they plan to do the banding? I hope it is mid-afternoon, because I have to work 'til about 1pm central.

Kittenface, no, that is Dad! I found this photo in last year's history report on the Great River site, and he looked so grouchy about something that had apparently gone wrong, and I thought, gee, I can relate to that irritable look, I look like that sometimes!

p2w
This is all it says sure hope there are alot of pictures and videos I have to go to work right around 2:30 nest time :cryinggirl:

The Raptor Resource Project will be onsite Friday, July 8 in the afternoon to band the four eyasses. The young birds will be removed from the nest during banding. Do not be alarmed if they have temporarily disappeared that afternoon. We will leave our Birdcam on during the banding so you may see the action!

Thanks for the reminder about the banding, Elaine. It will be interesting to see what the sexes are of these kids, but I hope Dot will be OK. She will probably go bananas when they take her babies. I will also be working but will try to take "quick peeks".

Nice pic of Dad, Elaine. Makes me even more convinced that the dad at the nest now isn't our original Dad.

Hoping they give the cam lens a polish while they are banding. I am so enjoying watching this nest box, especially watching that little face!

Don't know if the rest of you are experiencing audio problems. It started cutting in and out yesterday afternoon and the pitch changed and they sounded like barking seals when they vocalized.

Sure hope that corrects itself. (pease, please, please)

I may or may not watch, depending on the time. They already look hot, I can only imagine how overheated Dot will become flying around trying to defend her nest.

Good grief, Dot is standing in the nest getting everybody all stirred up. I hope that she is not going to try to shade them again. She seems concerned over that one in the corner, although there is nothing wrong with it.

I'm more afraid that she is going to knock one out of the nest with her tail than anything else.

She is looking all around out there.
