They are having breakfast

That little chick to the right can make alarm calls just like an adult and I'm pretty sure he is the one that didn't eat last night, waiting for Dot.

Not crazy about how Dot gets in the back of the box and the chicks are all standing around the front and trying to get around each other. Seems to me that MOM use to stand on the edge and feed from the front. Well nobodys fallen out so far.

Really cute video, KF....I saw where you created the video with the Youtube video editor....I didn't know there was such a thing...I'll have to look into that..

It seems that is the only way for ME to put music in anymore I don't know what they are doing now but it works so I'll just keep doing it for the time being :thud it takes a lot longer

Dot arrived with good size prey. She was in there feeding them but seemed distracted, I mean more so that just having 4 chicks screaming at you. Anyway she left and I think that she took the prey.

Thanks for the breakfast video, Coriena! That dad isn't a dummy--he thought better of getting in the box with that wild bunch & trying to feed them!

Ok Dot is back feeding but it looks everybody has their own little piece. Yes, thanks Coriena for the video. Those drop offs are funny.

kitten just got your message! I'm glad some of the pics had meaning. It's a pretty little city. Calling me "Auntie Mick" just melted my heart. :loveshow:

Thank for the videos! Didn't watch they cams when I was under the weather, so appreciate pics and video more than you know!

Thanks for the video, SGB! :clapegg: Well, that girl is at least one that can't keep her balance--don't know if she was the one from last week. Even stepped on her sister once when she lost her balance. I get really nervous when I see her get near the lip of the box since she's unsteady. :suncrazy:

And here it is . . . Dot (I think?) lands with prey in her talons and a kid tried to pull it away from her:

She gets it in her beak and turns around:

Feeds a few bites:

Then leaves them to fight over it:

Mantling:

Sorry you've been sick, Mick. Welcome back!

Another very LONG feed going on. The prey must have been huge. Dot beak feeding the crew this time. It was so long that a couple of the kids took a snooze then came back for seconds. At one point while 3 were being fed, the 4th got underneath to self-feed. Some are making "yum yum" sounds when they get a bite . . "RAH, RAH, yum yum yum. RAH RAH yum yum yum." :flirty: There's so much feed, even Dot is getting some of it.
