Another very LONG feed going on. The prey must have been huge. Dot beak feeding the crew this time. It was so long that a couple of the kids took a snooze then came back for seconds. At one point while 3 were being fed, the 4th got underneath to self-feed. Some are making "yum yum" sounds when they get a bite . . "RAH, RAH, yum yum yum. RAH RAH yum yum yum." :flirty: There's so much feed, even Dot is getting some of it.

An adult has been alarm calling continuously now for awhile. The kids are watching him/her fly around. I wonder if it is usual plant activity or if there's another threat around. Kids are being super quiet.

Whatever was going on is still going on cause I heard a parent alarm-calling, then it sounded like it landed outside the nestbox. Kids aren't so quiet now.

I was watching that too, Catwoman...wish I had started recording sooner...the kids looked like they were at a tennis match..watching the parent fly!!! Also funny that they didn't make a sound...even after the parent landed..

Thanks for the video, SGB!

Anyone who looks at the cam in the next hour or so, look at all the water the cars on the highway are kicking up! That rain was a major downpour! (Not sure you can see if from a pic.)

At last the rain has stopped or died down enough for the adults to hunt, so the kids are getting breakfast now. They act like they're very hungry!

Parent didn't stay long to feed, so its pretty much a free-for-all. Now I'm hearing an adult alarm-calling again. :suncon:

That must be Dot because there are legbands. The male is unbanded. Poor thing, she still looks like a drowned rat! :sunblink:
