Thanks, catwoman. I don't know them well enough, but I was thinking one of them had bands and the other didn't. Just didn't know which one. :sunhohum:

I love the long shows on Ljames's pic. Thank you Nancy and Susan- Wet Dot & Dot Buried in Chicks

Great video SGb I love when they start watching the parents fly.

This is the smallest male with his impressive wing span. From 5:20 CDT

OMG what a great video Mick. I've been sitting here watching them munching on something for a while now. I bet it was from that delivery which I guess I missed when I watered my flowers. Thanks posting that. Poor Dot, she just couldn't get control of the situation.

You're right. It happened at 7:10 pm CDT.

I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
They must take after Grandma Nora, who had a reputation for fierceness.

Dot sure let those teenagers know who was in charge before she turned it over to them. Thanks for the feeding video, Mick.

Hope they don't make her think twice about whether she wants to nest next year! Just hope they all got some & the stronger ones didn't hog it all up. Thanks for catching that video for posterity, Mick!

I didn't see the drop off, but the kids were fighting over fresh prey. It was all over the box as they each snatched it from the other. Tug of war going on here:

As they were still eating, in came Dot with MORE! She beak fed this one to them, but it was small and didn't last long.

Doing triple duty:
1. strengthening wings
2. clearing out the box of fluffies
3. generating air flow

I watched for a bit around 5:15 & Dot had just arrived with a meal. I couldn't tell whether she was trying to feed them from the lip of the box or whether somebody was trying to get the prey away from her, but she almost fell over backwards. She then decided to go into the box & did beak feed them a bit, then the next thing I knew, she was gone & the kids were feeding themselves. Well, a couple were feeding themselves (looked like the boys) & the girls were screaming. I guess the girls wanted Dot to come back & feed them.
