I wish the camera could be panned to the right. I thought I saw a wing flap in the far lower right a little while ago, too, ljames.

Okay, I am now 100% certain that #4 is just off to the right, and I think it is caught. Definite wing flap seen on cam but I was not quick enough to screencap. The crying sounds distressful and he/she would have returned to the box when food was recently delivered. Who do we need to contact??!!

Edit: This reminds me of the situation in Columbus last year when Spirit's little foot was caught.

Thanks for finding that, KF. Even if the one is caught/stuck, I wonder if it would even be safe for the other juvies if a human went up there to rescue it......? We don't want them jumping out too soon. Oh, this is stressful!!!

Not to sound like a real jerk...but, is nobody reading previous posts? I emailed Jennifer this morning...Have not heard back from her...maybe she's on vacation as she's usually very good about emailing back.

I'm glad you saw movement to the right, Susan...I've been thinking #4 was below the box, on that round thing...

For what its worth, I just called Great River and reached someone named Todd (press 2 if this is an emergency..). He will pass the information along and try to send someone out to the nest. If anyone has a direct number for Jennifer/Brenda or even last names, I will try and call...but, since its after hours, I doubt I will be able to reach either one by phone...but ya never know...

Did all of you just lose the cam? I did & tried several times to get it back, so maybe they turned it off to go rescue the wanderer. Hope so anyway.

Thanks to all who tried & all who succeeded in contacting someone about the problem. Hope this baby is OK. When the cam froze, there were only 2 that I could see in the box.

SGB, I feel your frustration. You are not a jerk. I really thought the 4th one was just out wandering around all day, or maybe in a lower location where a parent could easily get to him with food, but by the end of the day when he didn't return and was then seen flapping right outside the box, it made me wonder if he might be stuck and COULDN'T get back.

I am surprised you didn't get a response to your morning email to Jennifer. Also, I wish Tammy had been monitoring our forum today. Maybe by morning someone will get the word and go out and check.

We do tend to worry, but we love these birds so much (too much).

I had to step away and take a break, so I didn't have a cam loss, but now that I've got it, I see three juvies. One is flat out in the back.

I lost the cam briefly, back now...

Susan, the reason I was getting so frustrated was because I was reading all these post about "who can we contact, we need to contact somebody", etc....and I've posted several times that I contacted Jennifer this morning about being concerned about the 1st one out and could they send someone out to check on it..so, I did alert someone...of course, Jennifer may not be there...as she's usually really good about replying to emails...

Let's just hope this Todd person really sends someone to the nest...

Yes, I see 3 in there again.

I also understand your frustration, SGB, especially since it has to do with trying to get help for the juvie that is out of the box.

Brenda also works at GRE. I phoned and left a message on her voice mail. I emailed Amy at RRP with Kittenface's worries. I copied Brenda on the email. Instead of worrying and turning your hair gray, pray that the little one is OK - I think prayer is more productive than worrying.
