Any of you who have been watching the cam since the wanderer came back have probably come to the conclusion that Dot didn't feed her when she was outside the box. Until the last few minutes, the poor thing was desperately scrounging around in the box for leftovers. Of course, those of us who watched when one of Scout's girls got her foot caught just outside the box last year knows that Scout also didn't feed the chick who was outside the box. Maybe these moms just expect that if a chick wants to eat, it will come to her. :sad:

I don't know if we just had a fledge or if it was a parent fly by...my recorder is not working well this morning...I don't know what the problem is...The bird appeared to come from the back of the box..More than likely, it was Dot..who brought in food a few seconds later...
