Look at this face, a look of pure dermination and a tiny bit of fear.

I will have my eye on them for a while.

Dot must have flown nearby as they all jumped up and started screaming, well the two on top and one at the side of the box. There may be two over there, not sure. Oh wait somebody on the perch now. Haven't seen a food drop, but they must think one is close.

Well I don't see anybody at the moment but they have been all over the place. It sounds like one or two are flying and screaming at the same time every now and then. Saw one on the perch and it flew up to where I imagine the camera would be. Boy they are excited with their new freedom. Poor Dot. I sure hope the people at the site are on top of this. Four fledglings are hard to keep up with, especially with the wind blowing like it is. That's a little worrisome.

I think this is the little guy who was riding the wind earlier. He jumped up on the perch & I thought he'd go into the box, but he jumped down beside the box instead. Next thing I knew, he was back on the perch & then went into the box for a snack. I think he's just totally enjoying himself! :flirty:

Our little adventurous one FLEW to the top of the box. Then a third one came up from the side of the box.

SGB, I think I neglected to mention how much I enjoyed your video yesterday of the juvie riding the wind! :flirty: Thanks for getting that!

Coriena, great video today of the juvies exercising their wings. They are very lucky to have that entire roof to play on & exercise!

I forgot to turn the cam off when I went to bed last night, so I was greeted this morning when I came down the stairs with the sound of juvies screaming! :flirty: They must have woken up hungry. Its still dark there & wasn't even 4:30 a.m. there when they were carrying on. I don't see a 4th either, so I'm hoping that one is near the box on the roof.

Now they've gone back to sleep!

That's too funny, Catwoman...I guess you now have a new alarm clock...

OK..this was about 45 min. ago...and I hope I get the sequence right...Had the recorder on the cam, and when I went back to review it, this is what I found:

2 kids on top and I can hear a 3rd probably behind the box

Image

I guess they see a parent and get all excited...they eventually drop down behind the box...maybe a food drop..not sure

Image

About a minute later you see one bird flying low

Image

Followed immediately by another (hard to see in this pic)

Image

They appear to join in the distance..They continue up and out of cam view..

Image

a few seconds later, this one appears from the top of the screen

Image

...and it looks like a missed food drop~in the following frames you see the bird flying toward the trees. I have no clue what happened to the "dropped object".

Image

Meanwhile, all's quiet at the box...I don't hear any of Susan's yum, yum, yum sounds, so I'm not sure what they are doing..

Meanwhile, there are several low fly bys...this is just one of them..

Image

So...who knows what I was seeing...2 parents? parent and kid? No clue..but they were fast and it took me forever to isolate from the video...other wise I would have just posted the video, but they were so fast, you never really saw them..

Great catch, SGB! & the surprising thing is, I think the flyer is one of the girls. The one that landed sure looks bigger than the one who was already there! Go Dot's girls! :clapegg:
