OK I'm not sure what this is going to be like I messed up a bit and had to cut around but look around 1:05 or so and see if that looks like another one flying by
I'm asuming this to be the male since there are no bands

Could well be a second falcon. The sounds the male is making indicate that as well I think.

I definitely think that was another falcon flying by and probably landed nearby, hence the talking of the unbanded one on the nest. Turn your volume up and listen carefully at the 2:19 - 2:21 mark, and you'll hear the mate talking back. There are a couple of distant echupps.

Great job, KF!!! :ohyes:

I saw a bird flying in at top of screen , just to side of box and ti could very well have been a falcon.

Darn I missed him, or her.

boy , if these guys are back , ours might come back early.

That's encouraging that we have 2 here. Now we need to try to figure out who they are. Thanks, ljames! :thumbup

The one with all the spots on its chest is there now--think its the female. Can't really tell whether it has bands.

When I saw them together, I thought that the smaller one had the bands, then thought uh oh, that wouldn't be right. :valscratch: So don't take my word for it as I was watching other cams at the moment and wasn't really focused. :valemb:

I went back to the archives from last year to look for a picture of Dot, & saw this pic that Mick posted late in the season after the kids had fledged. :girlluv: I just had to post it to remind us of what (hopefully) we have to look forward to!

Um...I don't think that's Dot. Here is a picture of Dot (at least we thought it was Dot) that ljames took last year. Notice how white her chest is without all the speckles that the current one has.

I went through some more captures from last year & Dot has a pure white bib. Then I wondered if the one with the speckled chest is the male. I know Dad had a dark helmet so its not him (although we had our doubts about it being him after Dot took over). Well, maybe its too soon to tell. :valscratch:

Clearly a banded male and an unbanded female.
Male seems to have a Black over Red band on the left leg, a purple band on the right leg.
Tine posted a picture of him on my forum:
