Thanks for clearing that up, DEF! Also, good to hear that Tine is watching what is going on here. She posted recently that she isn't feeling well, so I'm hoping this helps her! :valthumb:

Unbanded female & banded male--two totally new birds to this site. There could be some drama, unfortunately, because I would imagine Dot will return here.

OMG I wish the sound was on I asked Dot if she would get hold of Brenda or whoever it is she knows and ask if they could check into it well I watched Coriena video and tried all I could to get that female to go to the inside camera and talk to it but she just wouldn't :teehee:

Well, I thought the same thing. I even called Beth & asked her to compare the pics & videos from last year to the one you got before the sound cut out. I didn't want to say anything unless someone else thought the same thing, because I didn't trust myself. She thought the helmets were different, so I didn't post anything. I don't know if falcon calls normally sound the same, but this video & the one of Mom last year sounded the same to me--even some honking!

I looked and looked also and I tried with everything I had to get it to be but alas NO
Now I wish we did know what is going on I swear I thought that was Dot earlier tho the band numbers looked so much like it now i really feel stupid cuz I got messed up and thought that Dot was B/R and I see she is B/G

Don't feel stupid, Kitten! Its hard to keep track of all the band numbers, & I had trouble telling which was the male & which was the female except when they're together.

Well, if this falcon is able to stick around, we can say that she's at least Mom-like, even honks!

:thumbup the only thing that would make this better is if the banded male was one from the past hatches

Is this Dad? It sure looks like him, based on the photo from the Great River 2010 archives.

It does look like him, Elaine, but if memory serves me, he was unbanded. Of course, my memory doesn't always serve me, so I certainly could be wrong. He is very handsome in any case! :thumbup I'll double-check when I get home, unless Kitten visits here before then--she would know.
