Thanks Jane! It sounds like you had a long exciting day. I heard you cheering on Reenie's video!

Short recap of today's events. Blue fledged at 6:48 this morning. We didn't know it was him at the time. Went over to the 5th Street Garage to see down inside where we were positive Blue wound up after his VERY impressive first flight. Found him sitting on a pipe thing at an AC unit on the auditorium roof. Was actually surprised to see the blue tape, as we all thought Red wound take off first. He was all over the front of the building, until he disappeared from view, yet we knew he hadn't flown anywhere. Sue and I went inside the U Building's parking garage to have look, and he had wound up in a spot he never would have been able to get out of, although he sure was trying. A contact was made to a gal from the Education Office, and she gave up some of her time to come into Harrisburg to rescue him. I won't name her on here, but if she reads this I will speak for everyone in expressing sincere thanks to her for her great work. Blue was released on the roof of the Carson Building, and we saw him at several places on there, but then he'd jump down on the roof itself. A little after 1:00 in the heat of the afternoon, Blue flew to the top of 333 Market, which was amazing to see. He spent most of the afternoon up there, sometimes disappearing from our view. Somewhere after 5:00, he flew back to the roof of the Caron Building. Then it started raining. We thought he was going to try for the ledge at some point, and around 6:15 or so is when he flew off the roof, missed a landing on the point, circled around and beelined it to the ledge. Of course those of us on the ground were cheering. Red looked flighty a couple times, but he's not worked up courage to try it. Shortly before leaving for the night we saw Lil Dad fly from the U Building to the steeple, but he left around 8:30. Lil Dad was in the area almost all day today. Hope this report isn't too full of mistakes, as I'm so tired I mearly fell of this chair.
