Mom just got up and left, Dad had some food no doubt. He is now on the eggs.
Call me crazy but I thought I saw four eggs . . . :girlcrazy: Must be the colouring of the one on the right at that time . . . :egg16:

Mom did a lot of whining before Dad finally "got the message" and left. Briefly saw the chick moving inside the egg.

Changing of the guard, mom has eaten and comes to sit on the eggs. You can see small pieces of egg and the pip in the egg. Sorry no sound :(

Sawatzke in nestbox, sleeping. Good idea to get in as many naps as he can now, as he won't have much time for napping later.

I heard a chick in an egg when he took over incubation! He was looking at the eggs very carefully, then rolled them! :egg5:

Glad you were recording that, SGB! :egg5:

I got a picture just before it was out of the shell & just after. The best part is that my 12-year-old granddaughter is here & she got to see it too
! :egg5:

(Posted in Breaking News then had to get clothes out of dryer--life is interfering again.)
