I do not want to be paranoid but this is not their usual pattern. they have been excellent from incubating till the evening of june18th. If the chicks were as old as Edmonton I would not be as concerned but wee one is 9 days old today.

adult still not back and could very well be siting right outside cam reach but it is cool here

Still no adult. This is such a frustrating situation, as we are not able to do anything. Even if we were out there, the only thing we could do is report the situation to the biologist, we would not be able to rescue the chicks if, indeed, the male is gone. I can no longer tell by looking at the chicks iff they are o.k., or not; one of them does not seem to be moving much. Maybe we are over-worrying, but I would rather over-worry and contact someone in authority than be complacent.

The female just returned, I cannot tell if she has food or not because her back is to the Cam.

The chicks are surrounding her, and she is doing something in there, I can't tell if she is preparing a meal, or what.

I am glad they seem to all getting fed; I am assuming this, because I could not see if everyone got a bite to eat. I am sure you are right, Bev, she caught this herself. Usually the male is around when she is feeding them, and possibly he is there on the outer rung, but I don't think so.

Adult is in box. This one seems smaller, so I think (I hope!) the male? Bev, I hope you can tell better than me, if you are watching.

adult came back in and is finishing feed. cannot see youngster.

Still worried as we do not knwo if she caught this herself and one feed a day is not enough.

I nave notified all that I can. I just talked to George, on phone and he has alerted cam people and his wife to watch for feeds. He will take his binocs and take a check out there.
I have phoned and left a message with Gord, he must be out on a site. Hopefully will hear from him.

I am out of town from 2pm tomorrow till Sunday evening so I want to make sure all are alerted in case they have to take chicks out. one adult can not this at this stage. I am hoping there are 2 but have only seen the one since the 18th

May convince Peter to take Elaine and I out there if I do not hear from Gord. I will leave cam up and try and get prepared for trip and house cleaned for dog sitter

Yes, this is still the female. Still no sign of male. This is worrisome as we usually see him sticking his head in the nestbox to see how things are going.

Female is screaming or calling to someone flying around out there, she is looking at something passing by, there is no way to know if this is a fear call or a "get over here" call.
