Well here is to good things now. After yesterday , which I found hard, I want to be positive. this has always been a great site for chicks and good feedings. With different male , all things change. But it is one of the most natural sites we have.

I found yesterday hard becasue I hated to see this nice family split up. The kids all cuddled the little one and they seem confused as to when their siblings were coming back, but today is a new day. New beginnings.

I hope to come home to great things. will be watching till I leave

Still no feed
adult just checked from wrung. I feel so bad for this female. she is used to so much more for support.

this is just not good.

The chicks are moving about, still no sign of a parent or food. It is hard to see clearly on this cam at this time of day because of the sun slant in the nestbox. I will watch as much as I can today as we are still worried about the situation; it is possible that the female is being courted by this new male, and if so, she may not be as focussed on her chicks as she should be.

I am out for about an hour.( running before I leave, plane may go without me )

One of the chicks has his mouth open, it looks like he is calling out repeatedly. If mom is close by, I hope she gets going.

11:07 a.m. Parent landed.

She appears to be feeding, but I'll keep watching to be sure

Thank goodness she is there. I can't tell if she is feeding them because she again has her back to us, but I am sure she is.

Mom leaves at 11:15 a.m.

Their crops are pretty full, and they are looking alot more lively now. I think they could eat more, so I hope mom doesn't wait hours to return with more food.

I won't be able to watch much this afternoon.

this male just does not get it. In my opinion, something happened around JUne16th, when I look back. But we will keep positive.

I leave in an hour and a half and am packing. so far behind

but will watch when I can up to then. I hope she fills them right up when she feeds.
