Oh yes. . .I did see those pics. . hilarious. . somebody DID NOT use their napkin. .

I took this from Anca's above video. . so, this is just "left over" mess? Are we sure Dotca didn't deposit an extra eyeball on the side of his/her head? :egg11:

Let me preface this by saying I am the proverbial worry wart. . but, I think we need to keep a watch on his/her left eye/side of the head. I went back and looked at the video that Yvonne recorded of the DotCa feed. . he jabbed that eye several times.

The game is starting again. Mom is in the box and dad comes with prey but fly away when moms wants to take the prey....

3:58PM - Hopefully we will have a nest exchange...

But something had Beauty's attention. She was following something back and forth. No alarm calling. Some chupping. She has left nest and Baby is now alone. I'm hoping it was just DC bringing something in.

B has returned 4:03PM. She arrived very fast and settled back on Baby. No food.

Maybe she need to take a quick break, but again, something really had her attention.

Beauty just came back with food & DC took off with it. :egg15:

I'm looking at the left side of baby's face & his eye looks OK to me--thank goodness!

OK, now DC brought food to the porch & Beauty left with it--probably to de-feather, so DC is in the box with baby.

Edit: Oh man, Beauty came back with the food & DC grabbed it & left with it! :egg14:

Have to admit that I was also worried about the appearance of the baby's left eye after Dotca fed it, but was afraid to say anything. :egg12:

Me, too--I was hoping it just looked like that because the side of his face got all sticky.

What I found encouraging is that when I was watching, he had the left side of his face to the cam & his eye was open. He can probably see now.

They're saying on chat that he has a feather stuck to the side of his face. Could that be what's making his face look so bad? :egg16:

Yeah he has his eye closed I think but we did see one with that eye open and looked okay..not as good as the other side though. I just can't find the shot again :egg16:

YOu can see around the same time a back of head shot where the dried blood makes his head look flat so I expect a good bath and he'd be looking much better.

Carly-go to 6:09 PM on archives-eye is opened and feathers matted above it makes it look bad but really isn't. (i would post but can't post pic from my iPad)

If you look at 10:18AM Main archive from today and blow it up, you can see the eye better. I think it's fine. I think the blood has sort of caked/matted, which makes it look swollen.

I can't post the photo really large because it's too big.

Poor Dotca did make a mess of Baby yesterday.

Great pics, everyone. . and I'm glad somebody figured out the "eye" issue .. after I posted, and nobody commented, then I thought I must me just losing my mind. . :egg11:

I still think it looks swollen to me, though. . but, he/she's eating good and seems feisty. . hopefully, Beauty will give him a "spit bath" very soon. .
