When I saw Scout, my eyes instantly teared up and all the sorrow of her loss hit me again, I guess that's what remembering is all about. And poor little Orville. It was a truly beautiful memorial SGB.

How sad that both their deaths were related to and probably because of the 4th.

With temps in the 100's today, I wonder where Durand and Spark will be hanging out? By a pool with a cool dirnk? Probably one with an umbrella in it!!

July 10th update from Donna:

Computer Replacement

Because the computer that pushes the ledge streaming video to the Internet was frequently shutting down for no apparent reason, it was decided to replace that unit entirely. In the meantime, with only one working computer, we have switched the feeds so that the ledge can be viewed instead of inside the nestbox. This is the more interesting and informative view at this time of the year.

We hope to have a new computer in place and both streams back up and running within a couple of weeks.
