Yay MAK! I've been checking out your blog to find out how Rochester is doing... I guess you've had a bit of snow... and cold... :coldwinter:

I cant believe Beauty is staying in an elevator vent to keep out of the weather?? And Piggot and BST are hanging in there too! Do the Rochester police know you, that they will let this lady drive around on impassable streets and park on bridges to look at peregrines? THAT'S dedication! :teehee:

The Main Street traffic cops know me from last summer when I rode the bus downtown every day. And I'm in good with one of the parking enforcement officers too!

It will be a wait and see just like at a lot of places, including my own.

Beauty at the nest today! :sum9:

No sign of DC since early November. Pigott and her beau are still keeping each other company at BS according to daily reports from watchers.

Thanks for the update Kris!

I've been hoping DC would show up soon, so we know he is okay, especially since things are "warming" up at other nest sites.

I follow the updates on P & BST and am happy P has had company this winter.

In the past, when did the males who migrated normally show back up in Rochester?

They usually return early March- 11th, 12th, 13th-in that area. We're all hoping for DC to be on migration and to return. It would be nice if he stayed with Beauty and left Pigott with BST (he is awful cute and he and Pigott seem to be very close) but we're afraid that it's not going to be that easy.

You're right SGB..it's way too early and too cold for all this!! I thought I'd have at least another month of normal blood pressure until it started to go up again :girlcrazy:

Man, I truly hope that if it is DC he is alright. We never want to see any9one hurt but I always tend to have a sentimental attachment to the one that was there first. An dI would like to see DC succeed.

Hoping no falcons were injured at BS location. Glad Carol was there to confirm that she had 2 in sight before she left.

The question now is who is it? Did Pigott come in and try to challenge Beauty? Was it the tiercel (possibly DotCa) that fought BST the other night and he landed on crossroads with a serious wound? Was it the new female Carol saw yesterday?

What is "crossroads" building in relation to the area...Is it near Beauty or BST location...

If it is any falcon we know... I'd like it to be Archer...just to have some closure to last spring's devestating time when he could not be rescued.....I was so ready to go up there and try myself...I know you were too.

So, while we wait..the good news is it's not Beauty or BST...now, let's just pray that P is spotted...and I hope even more that (by fluke) its not even a PeFa!! (sorry hawks, pigeons, kestrels, etc.)

Its always horrible when a downed pefa is spotted, but even worse when its one ya know...gonna be a very tense next few hours...I sure hope DEC is able to respond today...
