It's Friday everyone!! There is a falcon on the ledge - can't tell who it is - it's still fairly dark because of the overcast skies and the rain. It's suppose to rain all day - while I was typing this note the falcon flew off already - I turned around and woops he/she was gone

Actually the falcon did not leave - since it was so dark he/she blended right in with the background - it is now sitting on the nest box cam - lol!! Ha ha - fooled me!!

The falcon just flew off the ledge - there was no d-drop so I am thinking it was Spark - it was fun to watch him sit on the ledge, first look down - then up and then down again - and then gone!! I can't capture pictures because the still cams are down - I have sent a note to Lindsay

Both arrived at the same time..Durand goes in the box, Spark doesn't. . .both gone now..

Approx 12:30pm ET, There was a falcon on the ledge, right in front of ledge cam preening. It was banded, but I could not see the band because it was so close to the cam. It stayed for some time, then took off. At one point during this visit, it did call out, but I heard no response. I thought the voice was a little higher, so I think it may have been male, but could be wrong.

1:05PM ET, Falcon lands on next ledge over. I can see its tail feather, but not full body. Doing some preening.

1:15PM ET, falcon departs.

1:20PM - I believe Spark arrives on ledge & goes in box. I can see red band on right leg, and the B on bottom of left leg. Pretty sure it was Spark.

He's chupping and I think wants Durand to come visit him. He leaves box, and is sitting on edge of ledge, looking out.

Good... I've been worried about him....

Spark is such a fearless young tiercel. So good for Durand, even though she is playing hard to get today...LOL!
If he who we shouldn't name did survive and come back...I don't think Spark will lose...

Fingers crossed for a successful season at this nest this year.

I am sure glad that Spark was positively identified, because I watching a falcon on the box early this afternoon and they kept looking toward the alcove and I was thinking, I hope they don't go over there, as you many remember that's where 'the other' liked to go.

Hey Matrix, just read your post. :-) I just hope that we don't have to find out.

I can't take another year w/o babies for Durand.
