Now she's just sitting on the edge of the nestbox like she's not comfortable with something. I can't understand why they don't have sound with the cam.

Isn't she beautiful? Boy, that would have been a perfect view of an egg dropping, if only she had cooperated. Boy he zoomed by. I don't know of anything else that could move that fast. Thanks for the video.

Well, I'll keep both cams up....currently, Lil doesn't even look close to an egg lay...which at the rate we are going, means she's gonna shoot one out when we least expect it...wish I had 2 recorders....

Hey, maybe they will lay at the same time...hee hee

There she goes again... out of the box.

I was watching your video SGB... that's how Fernando El Cohote (Fernando the rocket) got his name. He apparently is the fastest peregrine the watchers have ever seen in San Jose. He's full throttle all the time!

I don't know what's up with Clara, she seems jumpy like an intruder might be around, but if I remember correctly, it seems like this a lot. I know I thought the same thing possible when Lil' should have been laying her 2nd egg.

I'm totally panicked I'm going to "exceed" my data usage... happened last year in May and I got a nasty gram in email. We upgraded our service from DSL to U-Verse last month. Hubby is streaming more movies now, so I'm worried it will cut into my "birdwatching" data allotment! At least I have a higher usage limit now.

Oh the joy...

If there was an intruder issue, they would probably report it on the Yahoo forum. They have the ability to see both views (box and louver) with the 2 cams at the same time, so I'm sure they'd be zooming it around. They already commented about Clara spending an hour in the scrape.

I hope nothing is going on except for Fernando's excitement for an egg!

Taken from SJ Yahoo forum regarding activity at approx 3:20-3:30PM:

Elaine wrote:
"Around 3:20, Fernando, who had returned to the ledge from another quick trip into the nestbox, and Clara who was back on the louver, both flew off almost simultaneously. Both returned a couple of minutes later - she to the louver and he to the nestbox - again very vocal."

Craig wrote:
"Perhaps this was the same event. I was on the ground around 3:30PM when Clara started alarm calling. Eventually Cohete appeared. It looked like he came around from the east side, though maybe he was coming out of the nest area east side? He flew to the cam. But then he took off again to the south. Clara continued to alarm call. A large raptor (golden eagle size) was gliding in from the south. Cohete took off toward it but I believe the raptor was at a higher altitude. Cohete did not come close but he followed as the raptor continued north. When I looked up and Clara was gone.

A few minutes later both returned from the south. It looked like they were landing on the front ledge (I was on 6th). By the time I got into a better viewing position I could only see one on the west end of the louver. All was quiet again."
