She did teach him well and he took the job seriously. I remember how we were so worried if he would participate, especially in the early days after all 4 were laid.

Saw their little exchange there, and he was excited!

Wasn't it funny? All he wanted to do was canoodle and scrape in his little pile of pebbles down at the other end. I thought he was hopeless, but did he ever fool me, like I said, he's a natural.

Glenn posted this info on SJ Yahoo Forum. Just FYI Info:

Camera Image Quality
As the action heats up we begin to get questions about the quality of the camera image. (I just rec'd one off-line) The camera we watch at San Jose City Hall is the same brand and model as the other one we sponsor on the PG&E building in San Francisco (Sony Ipela pan/tilt/zoom). The differing image quality is the result of placement: the SF cam is five feet from the nest box and the SJ cam is 25 feet away. The SF cam is protected from direct sunlight and the SJ cam looks straight into the sun in the afternoon.

Here is some related information: The camera(s) and related hardware at each location were a one-time cost of about $2,000. The cost of server space and site maintenance is about $10,000 per year at UC Santa Cruz. SCPBRG is able to pay the university for on-going server and related costs thanks to generous contributions from the public. SCPBRG is, and has been for 38 years, entirely self supported by gifts and grants at UC Santa Cruz. Enjoy the view! --glenn@scpbrg

Suzanne...That seems odd for the one on the left to sit like that, barely moving... I'm sure it is nothing, but, they never cease to make us wonder what they are doing!! :girlcrazy:

In the other video the one brought the prey (which lays on the ledge) and they both seemd to just wait for the other to go get it and eat. LOL

I've been keeping an eye on today. Nothing unusual that I saw. Clara in the box right now standing over the egg, but I don't think she's quite ready, at least I hope not as I still have housework to do. I try to stay on her schedule though. :girlyes:

Matrix, one year Clara was scraping behind the nestbox so much, I was worried that she was going to lay an egg back there. It is fascinating to watch them and all falcons. Best entertainment ever. :popc:

Ok she left the box, back to work.

Well there was a canoodle on the wall just now, but the camera backed so far away that you couldn't really see it for the glare. Afterwards, they zoomed back in. :???:
