Our biologists only clean box every few years. they feel the wind and other birds will do a good enough job. but last year they had to do a good clean when our 3 chicks got sick.

so hopefully they will clean here.

I have been watching the cam hoping to get a live look at our pair, but no luck so far. :?:

On route 224 between Hilbish and 241 on the north side there are a few trees where we have often seen Coopers Hawks. They had a nest there for about 4 years before the wind last year blew it down. So far no rebuilding yet, but as I was turning from Hilbish onto 224 on Monday, I could have sworn in the same tree about 5 branches from each other was the hawk and an adult falcon. :redface

Traffic was busy and I couldn't stop (time constraints, and no camera), but when I came back through about 3 hours later neither was there. Did my eyes deceive me... or is it possible that they will "hunt" so close to each other? :hmmmm

A Coopers Hawk was found dead near the Chase Building.... :eek:

I posted there, about it maybe being the one that has been on the roof of the McKinley Hotel....

Cheryl and I spent a few hours "boots on ground" since our pair appears to not want to come on cam (one did go into boxand therefore on cam, while we were there)

Since no current cam images are available, we hope our "other cam(era)" images "stills"...LOL...woill be appropriate to post?...

HI!!! Tsusan! Matrix and Cheryl, so glad you got to see one of our guys today. I got to spend the whole day at Mother's helping her. I sure miss nature, when I am there. She lives in the city and I love my wide open spaces here. Lets hope the cam was working. Have a great weekend everyone.

We arrived at 3 pm...

One was on the AEP tower, (Where's Waldo moment)

In a few minutes we heard calling and one came from the opposite direction of the tower to the nestbox. Which prompted the other to come in and sit on the ledge down from the nestbox:

After a few more minutes, the one outside on the ledge, flew to the second tower directly across from the nestbox, followed shortly by the other:

As the parking garage top floor was closed off, we went to the another garage a block over....turned out to be a good move and an refreshing perspective...

Buildings

We witnessed three unsuccessful hunts...one being a extremely powerful dive by Mo... right near where we were parked!!...
The pair spent their time between hunts on the second tower...preening...

We left for a cup of coffee and to go back to the other garage, to see both at the same time....Mystic left the tower while we moved, and joined Mo on the Key building...They went to roost shortly afterward, as did Cheryl and I...Temps dropped quick as the sun was setting! :cold:

OH WOW...such amazing pics (..aha, the M's actually do exist!!!)...thanks so much for sharing them with us and giving us the tour..

....oh, and most definitely a "where's Waldo" moment...at least for me...I stared and stared and stared and.....
