Thanks for that post, mwplay...Glenn's comments are always so interesting..and I learn so much!!!

I've also learned that there is a difference between "covering" the eggs and actual hard incubation...I guess unless a person sits and stares at the cam for hours on end (hmmmmmmmm, I think some of us do that..hee hee) its hard to tell what they are doing. I try to look for that shimmy and the gyrations that go along with trying to "wrap" and place that brood patch around the eggs. Of course, sometimes I will see FC or Dan do that where as Clara and Lil (well, not lil anymore) just plop down on the eggs for a while...

You are so right, bev....I have to keep telling myself that they know what they are doing!!!!

I missed it, by the time I got back to the computer, I think that she had already laid it as she looked very tired.

LOL...what I was referring to is that Lil is in full incubation mode now...No up and down and up and down on the eggs (Like she did early on)...as far as we know, its still the Lil from last year..

Thanks, SGB. I also saw ljames posted in SF that she wouldn't be watching Lil anymore, so I was really confused! I figured that something as important as a resident falcon change would be announced though. :snowflake2:

Clara was eating and in this shot, she actually got her talon stuck on the prey and was dragging it for a step or two.

Meanwhile FC has been down tight on the 3 eggs so haven't had a good look.

Sorry catwoman if my SF post confused you. I meant no more, Lil. Don't lay anymore eggs. And I had about quit watching as I don't watch too much during incubation and I thought that 3 was all she would lay since I was sure she must have dropped one or something.
