It's old but I am sure New to some people...On the Canton Falcon Facebook I posted a link to another facebook page that has Diamond as their cover picture...

There are 8 offspring from Canton at monitered sites......4 USA ones, and one "international" (Diamond) and 3 Canadian....

Make that 4 monitered USA...TSusan found this info and she posted on CMNH....

After hearing about Magnum being discovered in Allegheny Co., Pennsylvania, I found a ton of information about nesting sites there, in a document authored by Kate St. John. To my surprise, I discovered that Canton already has a representative living there! She was banded in Canton in 2005 as Storm, but is now affectionatly called Val by the locals, including the utilty workers who discovered her there when they were planning to work on her home, the Westinghouse Bridge in Allegheny Co. (It seems Storm/Val sort of attacked them).... She and her mate, who is banded but unidentified, have nested there since 2010, raising 6 hatchlings. If you typed "History of Peregrine Nests in Pittsburg" in a search engine, you would find Kate St. John's document.

Magnum was spotted but is unkown at this time...Matrix was at Columbus in 2011 but as we all know, he is MIA...

She took over that site as a subadult...
It seems most of the Canton born females do when they claim a nest site...they must of not got the memo...

The cam was a little better today. There are some that will probably insure that the cam works. Matrix. :hahah

Matrix mentioned that he has some early blooms. We are counting on you being at the banding and the luncheon after. Two hours tops. You can hopefully meet C & C. Plus we need support during fledge week. Many eyes are good. Keep watching those owls. They are so beautiful. Keep posting. If you want more Owls PM Beth and she'll fix you up. :girlyes:

OK- I am typing this ala Matrix with my adopted stray kitty in my lap, laying across one hand. He likes to "attack" the free hand as it types- hes purring so hes almost ready to (there he goes)....pounce...
Ive got a pot pourie of comments- Thank you for the picture of Diamond, SGB, I see pictures of her so infrequently. There is a video of her and her mate flying (I forget his real name - "Gorge's George) on U tube called , I think, " Peregrines at Niagra Falls..."
I really enjoyed watching the lovely Mystic on our cam yesterday - I really think Moxie learned some her "moves" from her mom. Lots of leg stretching, ear scratching and foot nibbling going on...... Cheryl, do you think she was holding her foot kinda funny? (Inside joke) :teehee:

I got to watch our beautiful Mystic at the nest box for over 1 hour. Thanks to Cheryl, I learned how to take the pictures.... :tantrum2:

Apparentley they skunked C&C when they were there this week.... :shock

I found Mystic at the nest box. She is so white and beautiful. Looks like a well dressed lady.

Preening for her man...

"Maybe this will bring him to the box"

"Hum... will this work?"

"I am getting tired of sitting here"... big stretch

Just a few seconds before she gave up on that wastrel and left the box.
I only had one time that the can went out and that was for maybe 5 minutes. Thank you Cheryl. I guess you can teach an OLD DOG some new tricks. :loveshow:

Thanks to both of you. I am learning, couldn't sleep, so I kept getting up and trying to re-do pics to get rid of the "url" before and after pictures... no luck there, but I did figure out the quote - LOL
