Oh...and I'll let somebody know about the streaming...Probably can't do anything about it until Monday....and my guess is Donna probably already knows about it...Could be it just needs a reset!!! Who knows...

Several years ago, because of the influence of an Ohio friend, Hans-Martin Gang, a peregrine falcon enthusiast in Germany watched the Columbus Falconcam with great interest. Having worked many years with cliff-nesting peregrines, Hans-Martin wanted to focus on city-dwelling falcons and install a peregrine nesting box on top of the historic Holy Spirit Church in Heidelberg. Through his Ohio friend he made contact with me (Donna D), asking for details on the design of our Columbus peregrine nesting box. I was pleased to provide technical advice to assist with his endeavor.

The connection to Columbus continues. After Hans-Martin installed his falcon nest box, it wasn't long until peregrines moved in. The adult female in Heidelberg was named "Aurora" after Columbus' 1st nesting female! Now, several years later, the Holy Spirit Church has successfully raised several broods of peregrines and this year they again have a webcam. Check out their website, including the "Questions & Answers" section where they explain the reason of naming their adult female "Aurora."

ETA: Spark departed. Durand stayed another few seconds and is now at the end of the ledge.

You didn't miss much. When I tuned in to the ledge cam, someone was sitting there, then jumped to lower ledge and I could barely make out they were moving towards the box. By the time I got the nest cam open, they were both in there bonding. Durand in back corner, Spark in front. They were there for about 1 minute, then Spark left. Durand went to far ledge, looking out, a little head bobbing, then took off.

I also am looking forward to canoodling on the ledge!

Nothing like watching bird hanky panky... Oh.. what's wrong with me!

We in the Columbus-Canton and Cleveland area... are in the path (as forecast so far) of the next winter storm that is to start tommorrow night (tuesday) and last into wednsday... :sum7:

but in the aftermath is 50 temps...so i'm betting canoodles will be friday or saturday... :snowflake8:
