I can't say for certain that the first fly by was even a falcon...but, it definitely was a bird..straight line that angled from lower left to upper right..

Almost positive that the second was a falcon..based on wing shape...it moved from left to right in a pretty straight line..

Excellent!!!

I really wish we could tell the two apart (or at least have confirmation on who is watching over nest)

I guess eventually this new bird will land on ledge and we will figure out based on size who is who.

If this is Dan, at least he is a proficient hunter and there is plenty of prey, so maybe he can take care of himself for now and still get back to eggs quickly.

And, our temps are probably in low to mid 60's for the week. So, pleasant..

IT doesn't look like the rapid kak, kak, kak, of the alarm call, but doesn't look like a pleasant echup either...

Pretty sure it's a new female. larger than bird that has been doing incubating.

I think we have lost Lil.

Oh poo, those eggs are toast if it's a new female. Can they get up there and take out the eggs and incubate them? Do they have that kind of facility>?

Yep... I also think eggs are toast.

I do not believe they will take eggs. I guess it all depends on issued permit.

My guess is they will let nature take it's course.

Pan back at 1008 and feather head back on eggs. (Dan)
