Well, I picked the 14th as first egg day--that's my guess, and I'm sticking to it! So for me, we are not even late yet. I always pick on the later side in hopes of being pleasantly surprised--but this year I may have to settle for being right instead.

Today was my pick for the first egg to be laid. But the way things are going, I am probably not going to be right.

It's such a dreary day out there, so if I were a bird, I don't know if I'd be in an egg-laying mood. But then, they probably don't do these things on a weather related basis anyway! :egghatch:

The way things are going, I will be grateful if she lays her eggs where the cams are able to see what's going on! I don't know if it's her inexperience, but Niecey acts like she hasn't a clue. It's about time for Mother Nature to give her at least a hint!

There is plenty of time, hardly any falcons in the US have laid their eggs yet, except Georgia and California, right? She's been sitting in the scrape practicing, that's got to be a good sign. :loveheart2:

She's in the scrape right now looking pretty rough, wet.

You're right, but she is exceptional :flirty:

How did I not think of her.

Oops Niecey up on the shield, good grief, I think she wants a canoodle or something.

I am starting to get a horrid thought. Despite the fact that her aunt was quite an egg layer, I hope that Niecey is NOT infertile which i think can happen. I am betting however that she has alot of the same egg laying genes Mom had

Well if she is infertile, it's off to the zoo with her.

But she'll have little chicks I bet.

Didn't New Girl do this also . . . act like she was going to lay an egg, then nothing, for several days in a row?

you can never compare falcons. they are all different. I think everyone is forgetting that Niecey had two mates here for awhile. Stress, affects hormones. REd gril had none of that

Every falcon is great in its won right. Give this one a chance. She too will have her day.
