Sorry - just saw your post you don't think it's DC

What a mess... I'm so sorry.

Maybe he's doing this because B rejected his advances. Or.....maybe he has a female and just wants the nest. So so many possibilities! I know zip when it comes to falcons, even after watching and observing these 2 nests in Rochester, I learned anything can happen at any time. Been watching since 2003 and still clueless!

The first time I had ever heard of a male attacking a female was Archer against Mariah and then a battle in the box at Brighton between a male that lost his site to a new pair - he fought the female on cam in the box and lost. I was always told it never happened...well then came DC last year and it was hard to take but at least there was a bit of understanding as to why he would be upset but here we are today and it's happening again!

So I"m with you Donna, who ever it is - DC or no, he doesn't handle rejection well and I think at this point - we're all learning, not clueless. All the things we're told and we've seen I guess just aren't always applicable to every falcon. With the population recovering, I expect we're going to be on quite a steep learning curve in the years to come.

How things change! Guess I was so used to Mariah and Kaver for so many years. They had their incidents with other falcons but always worked together. This is not the old days Donna!

Hmmm... I don't think there ever was a box or camera at BS that I know of. The only female/male battle I recall besides DC/B was Mariah being taken down by Archer and B. The only other occupied box with a camera, besides TSB, was Kodak where Unity and Beauty had a fight on the roof of the building that a worker witnessed and photographed.

Lol on the Brighton post! I have a headache from all that's happened the past 2 days and I see you're home! I just texted MAK and she said she sees nothing-no Falcons at all. Joyce did see a Falcon flying over near the jail tower after MAK saw the battle- hopefully it's Beauty.

Whew thanks Kris. Last time it went silent, they had found Unity so it makes me nervous. Thank you so much for that!

Yes I'm home again, been feeling under the weather the past few days unfortunately.

Hope you feel better soon although happenings here have probably compounded things.

All this battling must be very stressful for ground watchers.

I feel for them.
