Dan was just a chupping a bit ago

11:17 - Dan just left.

I think they are still mating... They disappear at the same time and are not nest exchanging in the scrape. They panned the cam and no birds visible.

He handled 5 okay, but seemed a little stiff when he got up - which is completely understandable.

I think 6 is going to be a little tough for him. If she lays a full 4, I don't know what's going to happen.

Edited: It was DAN who came back at 11:20. Nest exchange occurred at 11:26.

OOPS! - That was Dan who came back at 11:20. Cher is getting on now....11:26...






Ok... When Dan is incubating, it's hard to make out his tail because it is positioned up with his wing tips.

Cher's tail stays flat, wing tips up.

Only other difference I notice is color. Dan seems gray. Cher has a Brown/black cast to her.

From watching them so much on vidoe , I think I have them down pat now.

I am trying to video as much as I can so I can tell differences

look at beaks and head caps . there is a difference

Ledge fly-bys. I think Dan is coming in now? 12:05pm.

I'm on the phone, so missed some of it. Maybe a prey exchange?

Almost 100% positive Dan is on - tail is in line with wings.

Totally have the beaks down. Cher's is much longer/wider/pointer. Dan's is shorter and has a tighter curve to the beak.

Cher's head to me is much darker overall, Dan's has some more white.

Also think on Cher, there is more speckling to her breast/wing start area. Dan is more white all over with a little speckling showing.

First light & Cher is on duty... she just rotated the eggs (7:11am)

7:35AM - nest exchange.

Dan on duty. He's having to work hard to get the 5 eggs covered. When he comes in to incubate the 5 eggs, his tail remains partially in the air, almost in line with his wings. If you look at the first light photo I posted above of Cher, then compare to this picture, you can see Cher's tail remains down in the scrape, while Dan's is partially up.

Checking cam again, find Cher on duty at 9:15am.

10:57am - Cher on duty.

She just rotated eggs and I believe has all 5 under her.

For the last rotation, she had 1 egg just under her wing, not being incubated.

Gosh, now I really hope she's done at 2.

Been out running errands this morning.

1:35pm - Cher is on duty. All eggs are under her.
